Hi, I’m Rachel Cash.
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma therapy for adults. I help military members, veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, and others who have experienced trauma move from feeling overwhelmed by the past to feeling more grounded, present, and in control of their lives.
I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and specialized training in trauma-focused therapies, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I work with people experiencing PTSD, traumatic memories, anxiety, traumatic grief, childhood trauma, sexual trauma, and the lasting effects of difficult experiences.
I believe trauma affects more than just the mind—it can affect the entire body. That’s why my approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy. I use whole-body trauma techniques designed to help you work through both the emotional and physical effects of trauma while building tools to feel safer, calmer, and more connected to yourself.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and authentic. I believe trust is at the heart of therapy, especially for people whose experiences may have affected their sense of safety or trust in others. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come to therapy, and you don’t have to tell your story before you’re ready. My role is to meet you where you are, provide guidance and support, and help you move toward the life you want.
I was drawn to trauma work after learning about the lasting effects of combat-related PTSD and seeing how deeply trauma can affect a person’s life. As I continued my education and training, I learned that people can heal, grow, and create meaningful change—even after years or decades of difficult experiences. That belief continues to shape the way I work with every client.
It is a privilege to walk alongside people as they heal from what they have been through and begin reclaiming their lives. If you’re ready to feel less controlled by the past and more present in your life today, I would be honored to help guide you through that process.
Why I chose a trauma career:
I chose a career in therapy because I wanted to help adults and teenagers struggling with the effects of trauma. When I learned about how trauma changes people’s lives and leads to so many negative outcomes I felt compelled to go into this line of work. In college I learned that the brain, through therapy and intentional work, can heal and change, even after decades of abuse/trauma, I knew I had found my career. I fully believe that people can change and make their lives into what they want and that it is never too late to get started. Throughout my work and training I have been witness to people doing amazing things in changing their lives for the better. My training in trauma therapies helps give my clients proven, whole-body techniques to heal trauma and reclaim their lives and I consider myself very lucky to be privileged to be the guide and witness to these incredible journeys.
I became a trauma therapist because I believe the people who spend their lives protecting and helping others deserve a place where they do not have to remain on guard. Behind every role, title, and responsibility is a human being who may be carrying experiences that were never meant to be carried alone. My role is not to erase your past or convince you that it did not matter. It is to help you process what happened so the past no longer has to control your present.

You don't have to navigate the effects of trauma, anxiety, or difficult experiences alone. If you're ready to explore whether therapy is right for you, I'd be happy to connect.
